Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Management
Development and implementation of warehouse and logistics strategies, specifically for handling steel products
Maximizing space utilization while complying with safety regulations and ensuring accessibility
Budget management for warehouse operations, maintenance, and logistics-related activities
Setting and monitoring KPIs, such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and cost efficiency
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies (e.g., occupational safety)
Identifying and implementing appropriate warehouse technologies (WMS, inventory software, etc.)
Supervising proper goods receipt and inspection of raw materials
Designing and maintaining a logical and efficient storage system based on product type, size, and usage frequency
Conducting regular inventories and stock reconciliations
Overseeing picking, packing, and shipping operations while maintaining quality standards
Ensuring safe loading and unloading of transport vehicles
Maintenance and readiness of all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, etc.)
Implementing and monitoring safety measures within the warehouse
Planning and coordinating material flow between production, warehouse, and shipping
Analyzing and optimizing workflows to increase efficiency
Collaborating with production, planning, quality assurance, and shipping to ensure timely material availability
Responsibility for internal transport and safe operation of all transport equipment by trained staff
Recruiting, training, and leading warehouse and logistics personnel
Conducting performance evaluations and providing regular feedback
Promoting and ensuring a culture of safety in all warehouse and logistics processes
Your Profile:
At least 3 years (ideally 5 years) of professional experience in warehouse/logistics management
Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written; good English skills are a plus
Solid IT skills and experience with warehouse and inventory management systems
Strong understanding of internal logistics and handling of large steel components
Extensive knowledge of legal safety regulations and standards in warehouse and logistics operations in Germany
